Catterline 21/06/2005
It was a really calm evening on the longest day of the year. Seven paddlers (Nigel, Marie, Gavin, Rebekka, Nikki, Annie & Dave) paddled from Catterline, north, to the birdcliffs at Crawton. Still plenty of birds about (puffin, guillemot,razor-bill, fulmar, shag, kittiwake etc...) but they will be disappearing soon.
We were greeted by seal song from the grey seal colony at Catterline harbour entrance. A very low tide and kelpy bottom put us off practicing our rescues so a quick pint in the Creel Inn made the perfect end to the trip. Thanks to Nikki for the great photos.
